Savatiano

Keratea, Greece

Mylonas winery is a small family winery located in Mesogea of Attica, with almost one century history. Savatiano, Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Agiorgitiko, Mandilaria, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the grape varieties cultivated with low yields, in 12 hectares. The aim is the winemaking of small quantities of Attica’s grape varieties so as to maintain high quality and gain the best characteristics of each variety. The goal is the prominence of the Attica vineyard and the production of wines that will pleasantly surprise even the most demanding consumer. The most important help in this effort is the loving relationship between the family and the vine, the know-how the third generation has gained and the completion of the new contemporary winery. Savatiano is the heart of the vineyard of Attica, a variety that the residents of Attica have intertwined their lives with. Also a variety that has been identified with the oldest and most traditional wine worldwide, retsina (resinated wine).
