Founded by brothers Andrew and Adam Mariani in 2007, Scribe Winery is paving the way for the next generation of wine enthusiasts. The brothers have transformed the property of an old turkey farm in Sonoma into an oasis of California cool, creating an inviting space for friends to come together and discover new wines. In 2007 the Mariani brothers purchased the Dresel family’s Hacienda. Emil Dresel, the son of a famous champagne producer from Germany, immigrated to California in 1858. He smuggled with him a great gift to the future of California’s top wine destination – vine cuttings from home! Emil brought what are thought to be the first Sylvaner and Riesling varieties in the United States.
