Paul Barre moved in 1974 to Château La Grave which belonged to his great-grandfather and in 1982 he became the owner of Château la Fleur Cailleau. Paul Barre was one of the first in Bordeaux to question classical viticulture techniques and one of the pioneers of work in organic farming. He is considered the father of biodynamics in the region – the 7 hectares of vines have been worked like this since 1990. Paul's son, Gabriel and his wife Edith are now in charge of the destiny of the Paul Barre vineyard and make it a point of honor to continue the craftsmanship work undertaken by their father.
