Domaine de Cébène is the brainchild of Brigitte Chevalier, a self-made woman who began as a professional wine expert in Bordeaux, that wanted to create an identity of her own with her own vineyards and wines. This fierce passion and philosophy brought her to the region of Faugères in the French Languedoc. A terrific, terroir conscious wine maker, she purchased parcels of land based on the quality of the terroir that would be suitable for the grape varieties to flourish. The vineyards have excellent sun exposure and are at high altitude in the foothills of the Massif Central. 

It was her idea to create wines with a “northern” style but made in South France. A style of elegance, variety personality, balance and terroir driven. Another important aspect of the Domaine is the dedication to organic farming and wines of great minerality, imparted from the deep-rooted vines in the schist soils of Faugeres. Brigitte’s unique style has made her one of the leading wine producers in the Languedoc region.
