Domaine de Vernus, a new estate run by winemaker Guillaume Rouget (son of the famous winemaker Emmanuel Rouget and also the grand nephew of great Burgundian producer Henri Jayer). Imparting winemaking skills from his father and grand-uncle, Guillaume who leads Domaine de Vernus together with Frédéric Jametton with the goal of creating quality wines from Beaujolais, released their first vintage - 2019.The vineyards are mainly planted with old vines, the grounds are strictly chosen to meet strict acceptance criteria for exposure, soil composition and plant health. It has an environmentally friendly approach to winemaking to promote sustainable agriculture and preserve soil and biodiversity.
