Champagne Gaston Chiquet began when Nicolas Chiquet first planted vines in 1746 and in 1919, brothers Ferdinand and Gaston came together to create their house. For over 80 years the brand has been family-led and they now own 23 hectares of vineyards in the precious perimeter of Dizy, Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and Hautvillers growing Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. Gaston Chiquet received their Champagne Sustainable Viticulture and High Environmental Value certification in October 2015 meaning that they take a voluntary approach to promote their environmentally friendly practices. Their commitment covers four key areas: biodiversity, plant protection strategy, management of fertilizer use and accountable management of water, waste-water, by-products and waste.
